Part 1: Importance of Fasting Prayer

Image
Many of us fasted and prayed but felt like nothing is changing ? We might be crying out to God, doing everything right, yet nothing seems to change. No results. No breakthrough. Just questions. Then we are not doing it in the right way which God wants. We see many people in the Bible who fasted in various ways and got the desired, great and unsearchable answers from God.  Esther fasted for 3 days without food and water to save her people and for deliverance of the Jews (Esther 4:16), As a result, God saved the entire nation. Daniel did partial fast for 21 days seeking understanding from God (Daniel 9:3; 10:2–3), As a result, received visions and angelic messages.  Paul (the Apostle) Fasted 3 days & many more times for repentance and spiritual discipline (Acts 9:9; 2 Corinthians 11:27) As a result,  Became a powerful apostle.  Cornelius Fasted for 4 days for Seeking God (Acts 10:30) as a result, stood as the  First Gentile  —  who r ...

Carols: Proclaiming the Purpose of Christ’s Birth (Part 1)

Image
Christmas carols are not just seasonal songs or cultural traditions. They are proclamations of the Gospel. Long before microphones and church buildings, carols carried the message of Christ into homes, streets, and hearts. Every melody declares why Jesus was born.  The word “Carol” comes from the Latin word “Carula”, which means: A joyful song or a song of praise.  In general, we can say; Celebrate Christ's Birth (Purpose) Teach The Bible Truths (What we need to do) Share the Gospel in Simple & Memorable Way (How we need to do) Purpose of Christ's Birth :  Jesus was not born by accident or merely to mark a festival. His birth was divinely planned and eternally purposeful.  To Save Humanity from Sin: “You shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”  (Matthew 1:21) As the verse says, The primary purpose of Christ’s birth was salvation. He came to the world to save us as a SAVIOUR.  To Reveal God to the World: “No one ha...

I WILL WAIT, TILL MY CHANGE COMES !

Image
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!”.  Hebrews 10:35 (NLT) We all go through challenges because life is full of battles.. Sometimes we are tempted by what we see and hear around us.  People whom we trust may discourage us Some tests are painful Trials are heavy All of them are trying to break the confidence we have in God and the devil is using many things— pain, failure, delays, and fear —to shake our faith and break our confidence in God.  When we look at Job in the Bible. He lost everything— His wealth - (Financial situations) His children - (Family Problems) His health - (Health issues) Even his wife said to him, “Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9) . Here, the devil wanted to destroy his confidence in God.   But Job didn’t give up. Instead, he said, “ All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes. ” (Job 14:14). We may be in the same position today. We may be tested from every ...

Melchizedek: The Mysterious Priest Who Points Us to Christ

Image
The writer of Hebrews explains the meaning of Melchizedek’s name: “Melchi” = King “Tzedek” (or “Zedek”) = Righteousness Hence, Melchizedek literally means “King of Righteousness.” He was also King of Salem, meaning “King of Peace.”(Hebrews 7:2) Similarly when we look at the prophecies declared about Jesus Christ in the book of Jeremiah and Isaiah - In Jeremiah 23:6 states that in a future time, Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely under a righteous ruler, and that this ruler will be called "The LORD Our Righteousness" and In Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah’s prophecy calls Jesus the “Prince of Peace,”. Melchizedek stands as a symbol of Christ , our eternal High Priest (“You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” — Hebrews 7:17). Just as Melchizedek had no recorded beginning or end, Jesus’ priesthood is everlasting. Through Him, we find mercy, grace, and access to God’s presence forever. When we look at Melchizedek's life - Though it is mentioned for a very...

The Blessed, The Judged, and The Approved: Lessons from Psalm 1

Image
Psalm 1 serves as a gateway to the entire Book of psalms, presenting a thoughtful contrast between two ways of life—one that leads to divine blessing and another that ends in judgment. This psalm divides humanity into three categories: The Blessed (Righteous) The Judged (Wicked) The Approved (Those known by God) 1. The Blessed (Psalm 1:1-3)           The psalm opens with a declaration of blessing ("Blessed is the man...")  further explaining blessed life is not accidental but the result of deliberate choices.                     A. Whom will God Bless? Walks not in the counsel of the wicked – God will bless those who do not take advice or walk in the path directed by those who reject God’s wisdom. Nor stands in the path of sinners – God will bless those who refuse to adopt the lifestyle of those who live in rebellion against God. Nor sits in the seat of scoffers – Will be blessed, w...
