I WILL WAIT, TILL MY CHANGE COMES !
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!”. Hebrews 10:35 (NLT)
We all go through challenges because life is full of battles.. Sometimes we are tempted by what we see and hear around us.
- People whom we trust may discourage us
- Some tests are painful
- Trials are heavy
All of them are trying to break the confidence we have in God and the devil is using many things—pain, failure, delays, and fear—to shake our faith and break our confidence in God.
When we look at Job in the Bible. He lost everything—
- His wealth - (Financial situations)
- His children - (Family Problems)
- His health - (Health issues)
Even his wife said to him, “Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9). Here, the devil wanted to destroy his confidence in God. But Job didn’t give up. Instead, he said, “All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” (Job 14:14).
We may be in the same position today. We may be tested from every side. Maybe people are laughing at us. Maybe they’re saying, “Why are you still trusting God? Just find another way to fix our problems.” But God is saying to us through Job's life : “Don’t throw away your confidence!” Our trust in God will bring us a great reward, like Job was rewarded in Job 42:10 (NIV) “After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
Let's remember what God has promised us;
- Promise of His Presence (Hebrews 13:5)
- Promise of Peace (Isaiah 26:3)
- Promise of Strength (Isaiah 40:31)
- Promise of Guidance (Psalm 32:8)
- Promise of Provision (Philippians 4:19)
- Promise of Protection (Psalm 121:7)
- Promise of Answered Prayers (Jeremiah 33:3)
- Promise of Healing (Exodus 15:26)
- Promise of Rest (Matthew 11:28)
- Promise of Victory(Isaiah 54:17)
- Promise of Unfailing Love(Jeremiah 31:3)
- Promise of Eternal Life(John 3:15)
Let us remember, God has not forgotten us and this hard season will not last forever. One day, we shall all understand the purpose behind every drop of our tears, every trail, every hurdles going through in our lives. One day, God will reward us greatly—
- Because we didn’t give up, even when things got hard
- We held on to our faith.
- We kept trusting God, even when it was painful
So don’t stop believing. Let’s not throw away our confidence. It is the most precious thing we have and God will honor it.
