TEARS — Hagar, Hannah & Hezekiah

“You have kept count of my tossing; put my tears in your bottle. Are they in your record?” (Psalm 56:8)

We are always in the assumption that — only we have the biggest problems in life & nobody has. In addition, we always keep worrying saying, all are enjoying in their lives, why is it only me—have to suffer so much, as I keep questioning myself.  However, when we look at the word of God, which is described as a lamp & the way in the Bible… Guides me through certain stories from the Bible, which shows the answers from God for the tears of the great people of God  — when they cried unto God for their hardships. Let us look at them;

1.TEARS OF HAGAR:  (Genesis 21:16 Hagar said 'Do not let me look on the death of the child. And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept.)  We see Hagar weeping here, being helpless for her child. Similarly, we do also keep crying & weeping — many times concerning our children at home for their actions, habits and the lifestyle they adopted in this world. Most of us, keep questioning God; “Don’t you listen to our cry?” ORAre you not listening to our prayers?”. Listen, Dear woman, the tears of Hagar reminds us that — GOD IS NOT FAR. He is very much near to us listening to our prayers. The God who helped Hagar in the desert, the same God is going to listen to our cry and fulfill the thirst.

2. TEARS OF HANNAH: (1 Samuel 1:10 She was deeply distressed and prayed to the Lord, and wept bitterly). Similarly, Hannah weeps to have a child. In spite of the talks and the pain that she was going through when peninnah was bearing children but Hannah was not. God saw, Hannah Tears as well, answered, and blessed with an amazing, beloved child. This story reminds to each one of us that whatever the condition may be — God is going to do wonders in our lives in terms of pregnancy, marriage, and financial help.

3. TEARS OF HEZEKIAH: (2 Kings 20:5; Isaiah 38:5 I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears indeed, I will heal you on the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD). Here, Hezekiah is weeping for the Sickness he is got and the prophecy which Isaiah said that he would die. As soon as he heard the news, Hezekiah cried loudly unto God and prayed & God answered and extended his life up to 15 years more. Isn’t that another Biblical proof — that God is collecting our tears and answering for each drop?

In this article, we see people weeping for various reasons or for various difficulties that they are going through. Similarly we do go through many problems in our lives like their might be Health issues, Not conceiving children or Being helpless with the situation around us. But, Remember the God who helped Hagar, Hannah and Hezekiah — Will help you and answer for your prayers.

What was common between Hagar, Hannah and Hezekiah? That God melted and answered prayers?
- Had experienced extreme pain
- Cried unto God
- Unwavering faith that only God can help

Are your prayers left unanswered? I think this is what we are lacking in our prayers. God is waiting for us to spend time with Him personally, talk to Him, cry, and say every problem that we are going through & BELIEVE in FAITH that He is going to help us. As He promised, God will answer everything you ask in HIS name (John 14:13-14).  May God be with you & help you in everything — everywhere.

Please share with your friends/family who might be in need of this!
